How it started
A bad contractor experience. A better idea.
In 2022, a homeowner in Elkton, MD hired a roofer from a national directory. The work was shoddy, the warranty was worthless, and the company was unreachable within a month. It's a story that plays out thousands of times a year across the region.
The Tradekind was founded on the belief that local knowledge is irreplaceable. The best contractors in Cecil County, Harford County, and Southern Chester County aren't always the ones with the biggest ad budgets. They're the ones your neighbor recommends at the hardware store.
We built a platform to surface those people — and to give homeowners the confidence to hire them.
